the space between.

In ‘the space between’, my grief and transition is displayed through the use of multiple exposure photography on film. Using this technique, the viewer is brought to an unknown and unattainable physical space; but a space familiar in emotional recollection. In addition to this, poems weave the few words I have to describe this trek. Below is the poem that starts my path towards self discovery.

I was told that the universe was made from atoms.

atoms built together the water that guides me home,

the faint smell of my love’s sweat,

and the neurotransmitters that tell me i'm scared.

i was told that these atoms never touch;

they build the world with endless space between one another.

since being told this, 

i wonder what falls through crevices of our building blocks.
